Giving back isn’t something we just check off a list, it’s who we are. At Wireless Zone, our commitment to community runs deep. Through supporting local nonprofits with grants, volunteering, to giving our customers $10,000 so they can give back, too, we believe in using our platform to make a real impact. Check out all the good that’s happened the past few months:

Open Pantry Event
Dave H. and his team volunteered at an emergency food pantry, Open Pantry. Located in Springfield, MA, Open Pantry serves not only its local community but will hand out food to anyone in need. The team spent over two hours organizing food that was handed out that night. Springfield has the highest poverty rate in the state and has the highest number of people on SNAP benefits.
Open Pantry was awarded a Big Partnership grant of $20,000, and it could not have come at a better time. With the approved grants, WZ Gives was able to provide Open Pantry with refrigerators, freezers, pallet jacks, a refrigeration van, shelves, and other items that are much needed. We thank Dave for his close relationship with Open Pantry and look forward to volunteering for many more years.

Gladstone Group 1K for Good Launch
The Gladstone Group had an article written about them in Southeastern Connecticut newspaper The Day. This article focused on their charitable donations and the launch of 1K for Good, their giving initiative that is designed to empower employees to make a meaningful impact in their community. In recognition of their charitable efforts, the Gladstone group received $80,000 in grant funds from Wireless Zone Gives, and instead of keeping these funds centrally managed, they are letting each employee donate $1,000 to an organization of their choice.

The Merryman House Domestic Violence Center Support
Britney B. gave The Merryman House Domestic Violence Center in Paducah, KY a grant. This nonprofit is committed to saving, building, and changing lives affected by domestic violence: women, men, and children. They have a 24/7 crisis hotline and emergency shelter, safety planning, case management and advocacy, court advocacy, support groups, and much more.

NOW Partnership and Grant
The Gladstone Group has partnered with NOW (Northeast Opportunities for Wellness) for a $7,000 Wireless Zone Gives grant! Their partnership with NOW has meant so much to them over the years, from supporting their athletes to teaming up for backpack giveaways. Their commitment to helping kids grow through fitness, nutrition, and mentorship is inspiring.

Tri-State Christian Camp Grant Follow Up
The Tri-State Christian Camp was able to replace their gym roof thanks to a WZ Gives grant. RFD Sam Hernandez’s dad, the owner of the camp, wrote the letter below. “We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. This means so much to him.”
Dear Courtney and Wireless Zone Gives On behalf or Tri-State Christian Camp, I want to express our deep gratitude for your generous grant.
The warehouse which houses our donation program has been in need of a new roof for several years now. Year after year, I’ve patched the leaks, until the shingles were no longer safe to walk on. Due to the nature of our ministry, and the high cost of building materials, a renovation project of this magnitude was financially out of our reach.
One day when I was explaining this dilemma to my son Sammy, he said he might be able to help through a program associated with his work. I got him a proposal for the cost of the materials, and he got me an application for your grant! Within an amazingly short time our application was approved and materials were ordered. Metal roofing was much more affordable than shingles, quicker to install, and maintenance free for 50 years! We had enough donations to cover replacement of some plywood and dumpster fees (to dispose of the old shingles).
Today, the new roof is finished. The volunteers that work with us are so impressed and grateful.
We will continue to serve our community by helping families and individuals with clothing, baby supplies, household goods, toiletries, toys, and sometimes even furniture.
There are no adequate words to express how much we appreciate what you have done for us and other non-profit organizations. Keep the generosity flowing!
Blessings to all those involved in this outreach!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Supporting Caroline County Humane Society
The Harrington, DE, store is proud to support the Caroline County Humane Society with a Wireless Zone Gives grant of $3,400. This grant will help feed and take care of the animals they take in. The store team loved spending two days learning and volunteering at the animal rescue, and Makayla even adopted two kittens! The Harrington team will definitely be back for more.

Gladstone Group Article Highlight
The Gladstone Group made such an impact on their community that they were featured in an article on the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut’s website. It focused on their $240,000+ in grants and 1K for Good program, giving all employees a $1,000 grant. Read the full article HERE.

Shepherd’s Center Holiday Party
Another successful Shepherd’s Center holiday party is in the books for Round Room!
This year, led by Tricia Featherson, we were thrilled to welcome over 150 independently living seniors for a day filled with joy and connection at our Store Support office in Fishers, IN. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch catered by Bob Evans, a festive photo booth, pictures with Santa (played by our very own Charles O’Haver), live music and sing-alongs, and fun raffles throughout the afternoon.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this event so special. Your time, energy, and hearts made a meaningful impact on our local senior community.
