Use your current phone to take advantage of a promo
Certain promotions on the newest devices require a device trade-in in order to qualify. For these types of offers, there will be a set amount you are able to save based on the type of phone you have now. The one stipulation is that your current phone has to be in good, working condition without a cracked screen in order to get the highest value for it. The advantage of trading in your current device for these promotions is that you’re normally able to get more money for that device than if you were to just trade it in organically without an offer.
It’s easier to trade-in than you think too. Bring your device with you when you purchase a new one, hand it over, and get credit instantly. It is a good idea to backup your phone before you come in as it will save you some time during the transaction, but if you can’t or forget, no worries, Wireless Zone® can do it for you right in front of you. Just trade it in
If the device you want to get doesn’t have a promotion on it that requires a device trade-in, you can still trade in your current phone to save! Verizon has set amounts that do change over time based on the phone’s age and condition. The newer the phone and the better the condition, the more money you’ll be able to get for it. This is called its organic value.
Trade and upgrade early
At Wireless Zone®, we have a program where you can use your phone’s organic value to trade in early! It’s called the Early Upgrade Zone and is a program exclusive to Wireless Zone® that you can’t get anywhere else. So, what exactly is the Early Upgrade Zone? When your phone’s trade-in value equals what you owe on your device, you’re able to trade it in and upgrade early.
Take this example: You want the new Phone A that just came out, but still have 3 months left to pay off your current Phone B. At this time, you would be in the Early Upgrade Zone because the organic trade value of current Phone B equals what you owe on the device. You can use that trade value to pay off the remaining device payment balance and get the new Phone A early!
