Apps To Improve Your Life

September is Self-Improvement Month and no matter what’s going on in our lives, growth and self-care should be a priority. That said, sometimes it’s hard to make time to work on yourself – we’re all so busy nowadays. Fortunately, in our technology-filled lives, there are some apps that can help. Let’s take a look:

Work it out.

Maybe you’ve been really into working out over the past year. Or maybe there were other things that took up your time and energy. Either way, it’s totally okay – you can find fitness programs and apps designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Daily Yoga, Nike Run Club and 7 Minute Workout are some of today’s popular apps, but rest assured that you can find an app for whatever type of exercise suits you. Many gyms have an app you can download to guide your workout and track your progress. Even Peloton has an app that you don’t even need to have equipment for. Most of these will work with your smartwatch, and your smartwatch has its own fitness features.

Eat better.

Weight loss apps have two functions: to help you lose weight and to help you start eating healthier. You can use them to accomplish either or both goals. Some of today’s popular diet apps include Lose It!, My Fitness Pal and Noom. – all of which focus on lifestyle changes rather than just counting calories.

If it’s recipes you’re looking for, check out apps like Epicurious (iOS only), Tasty and Yummly. Use any one of these and find yourself cooking meals fit for a King or Queen no matter your skill level.

Get organized.

Do you have a hectic schedule? Are you feeling pulled in multiple directions? How’s your time management? When you’re ready for help getting organized, either for you or for your whole family, check out apps like Cozi, Any.do and Picniic. Don’t forget Google calendar, which is available on both Android and iPhone and may even come with your phone.

Learn something new.

Are you looking for a new hobby? Do you want to freshen up your professional skills? Are you interested in learning more about everything? There are so many adult learning apps out there that it’s difficult to pick just a handful for this blog. Here are some of our favorites.

Duolingo is a fun way to learn or practice a new language. TED (TED Talks) describes itself as “a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less).” wikiHow will turn you into a DIY expert.

Are you ready to take the plunge into self-improvement? Grab your phone and head over to the app store. Most offer basic features for free, but you can upgrade with a small subscription cost.

If you’re ready to upgrade to a new phone, head over to your neighborhood Wireless Zone® to shop for the latest devices. Plus, check out all the ways you can save on the newest tech.
